From first lines of code to founding a company

Harvey Amber is the result of over 17 years of experience – in industry, in IT, as an employee, as a founder, and as an employer.

2015

The beginning – a one-man show

Founded as a sole proprietorship. One desk, one laptop, and the ambition to do everything independently. Projects came from agencies, end clients, and freelance platforms – from websites to mobile apps.

2016–2018

First employees, larger projects

The company grows. With the first permanent hires and an expanding network, project scale increases: software for Vodafone trade show stands, digital campaigns for new HTC product lines in collaboration with marketing agencies, and IT consulting for the SME sector.

2018–2020

From consulting to digital production

Alongside consulting, an in-house digital content production division emerges. Not just websites and web applications, but also eBooks and audio productions – content that is now streamed millions of times. The team grows, expertise broadens.

2021

Recruiting as a new focus area

Winning several software projects in the recruitment sector shifts the focus: custom software development and consulting for the staffing industry become the core business. The foundation for Candidate Drop™ is laid.

2025

Harvey Amber GmbH – building a brand

The sole proprietorship becomes a limited company. Harvey Amber brings together the experience from over 120 completed projects under one roof – IT consulting and recruitment advisory, driven by a team that understands both worlds.

Active nationwide – based in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss

Harvey Amber advises and recruits for organisations ranging from skilled trades businesses to international corporations – from its headquarters in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, strategically located between Düsseldorf and Cologne. A growing team, a strong network, and the commitment to unite IT services and recruitment consulting at a level that is rarely found.

The path to Harvey Amber did not begin in an office, but in the scrapyard of an industrial company – and simultaneously in front of a screen, writing the first mobile apps. This dual perspective – industry and IT, hands-on practice and code – continues to shape the company to this day.

As founder and managing director, brings together the experience of a business professional, a developer, and an entrepreneur. He has personally built and led teams, developed software for corporations such as Vodafone and HTC, produced digital content, and knows what it is like to sit on both sides of the table – as an employer and as an employee.

With the founding of the limited company, the sole entrepreneur became a brand that extends beyond the individual – carried by a team and a network that shares the same values.
